The Village is a free, welcoming space for parents, carers, and babies under one — from pregnancy through your baby’s first year.
It’s a place to meet others, get support, and feel part of a community that truly gets it.
At Close-Knit Families, we know how amazing and how hard the early days can be. That’s why we created The Village — to be there for you and your baby right from the start.

What We Offer
Chill, Chat & Play (Drop-in Group)
Every Monday in term-time 10am-12pm
No need to book
From pregnancy until your baby turns one.
A relaxed, cosy parent-and-baby group where you can unwind, enjoy tea and toast, and meet other parents. We set out simple, development boosting play activities you can try with your baby at your own pace — with no pressure to join in if you’d rather just sit back and chill.
You’ll also have access to Close-Knit Families resources and signposting to local support.
Baby Beginnings (Pregnancy Group)
A relaxed, welcoming three-session group for pregnant parents to get to know their baby, build confidence, and prepare for newborn life.
We explore bonding in pregnancy, simple ways to build a strong relationship with your baby, and what those early days might really feel like.
There’s no pressure to speak, and you’re welcome to bring a supportive partner, friend, or family member.
