The Village is a free, welcoming space for parents, carers, and babies under one — from pregnancy through your baby’s first year at Redcar Baptist Church.
It’s a place to meet others, get support, and feel part of a community that truly gets it.

What We Offer
Chill, Chat & Play (Drop-in Group)
From pregnancy until your baby turns one A relaxed, cosy parent-and-baby group where you can unwind, enjoy tea and toast, and meet other parents. We set out simple, development boosting play activities you can try with your baby at your own pace — with no pressure to join in if you’d rather just sit back and chill. You’ll also have access to Close-Knit Families resources and signposting to local support.
Baby Beginnings (Pregnancy Group)

Three session group, running throughout the year
A relaxed, welcoming space for pregnant parents to get to know their baby, build confidence, and prepare for newborn life.
We explore bonding in pregnancy, simple ways to build a strong relationship with your baby, and what those early days might really feel like.
There’s no pressure to speak, and you’re welcome to bring a supportive partner, friend, or family member.
